Okay! I'm not sure how long i'll take to finish this post but hopefully i can finish it today!
Ahaha.. So this is how the story begins..
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Elaine. She started getting addicted to korean dramas and songs thanks to her friend JJ. One day, her college friend, Grace, saw a notice about a 1 year exchange program to Korea. It was like an opportunity that has fallen from the sky and landed right in front of her. She thought why not just try applying for it. She was even more motivated because Grace was also applying for the program. Both of them wanted to go to Korea together! So they started their journey of applying for the sunway to silla SETP.
A month of hard work had passed. Both of the young girls had been seeing their lecturers, going through obstacles and just when they thought they did badly for the 1st interview, they actually passed! After that, it was the 2nd interview with Professor Kang from Korea.
The girls waited anxiously for the results. They went to bother Mr. Ricky (the guy incharged of this application) as many times as they could. FINALLY, TENG!! TENG!! TENG!! the results were out!
Mr.Ricky showed them the email with the results. The list of names in the email were:
-Tan Wan Yen
-Mohammad Izzat
-Elaine Tan
I thought DANG!!! WHERE IS GRACE NAME??? i really really really wanted both of us to get it!..=(..so i cried..ahaha..i was reluctant to go at that moment because i knew that i had to face changes and get out of my comfort zone. But it did me good!
So after knowing the results,i had 3 weeks to prepare!!!
i went out for dinner with my family to celebrate everything!! (michelle's birthday, her victory to beijing and my victory to korea! ) ^^
i also had a BBQ farewell party at Irene's house with my college friends! =)
A gathering with my besties from high school in Delicious at Midvalley!! ^^
So after all that, it was D-day already!! ahaha.. time sure flies by so fast. =)
D-DAY: 6th September 2010
Bye Malaysia! Hellooooo Korea! ahaha
So i arrived at the airport at 8pm. We went to check-in all of our luggage but all of it were overweight..XD (We as in Shine, Izzat and me)
We had to take out some stuff in order to avoid the payment of RM50 per kg overweight. Omg!! that is seriously expensive!! ahaha..
After that we went to the departure gate. I gave my family a great big hug and kiss!!! ^^
and i was waiting for my friends to sent me off but i didn't see any..=(..ahaha,,it's probably because i went in there supeeeer early.. XD
So i went in the departure gate, passed the immigration and security, took the train to the other terminal THENN only i got a call from Melissa..XD..ahaha..and i freaked out because apparently she was on the way to the airport and i am at the other terminal!!..
But as the saying goes, "when there's a will, there's a way!"..
so i took the train back and went to the security place. I could see them through the glass door but i couldn't go there and hug them..ahaha..and i wanted to get the card they made for me so i asked the security whether i can go back up and YAYY!! she said okay..then i went to the immigration to asked and the lady said okay so i took the lift up and TADA!!! i see the shocked faces of Pooi Lee, Melissa, Qiu Hui, mummy and my sisters because none of us thought that i could backtrack.. neither do i..XD
The card they made for me!! Gorgeous! ^^
So i gave everyone a great big hug again then i rush off to the other terminal..=)
I LOVE ALL OF YOUUUU!!!..^^
After that, i went back to the terminal and talked with Grace, Lavee and Xuan over the phone. ahaha..i did a video call with Yixuan..so coooool!!!!!..XD..Then it was time to go on board..
Izzat, Shine and Me..=)
The first thing we noticed were the seats!! where areeee the screens?!..Dang!..ahaha
And so my journey begins!..^^
i'm starting to turn the pages in the new chapter of my life!..=)
